Veterans Day annually falls on November 11. This day is the anniversary of the signing of the armistice, which ended the World War One. In other Countries, on November 11 they have they own anniversary as well. These include Armistice Day and Remembrance Day.
Armistice Day–At the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, the nation fell silent to remember Britain’s war dead.
Remembrance Day– a Memorial day viewed in the commonwealth of Nations member states that remembers the members of their armed forces who died in the line of duty. The red remembrance poppy has become a familiar emblem of Remembrance Day due to the poem In Flanders Fields.
Our Veteran’s Day coincides with Armistice Day and Remembrance Day
Flowers have stories to tell. Certain flowers have unique meanings that we, at Trillium’s Courtyard Florist, use for special occasions. Our Veteran’s day arrangements include Statice and Rosemary, known for remembrance. Daisies, are known for their bright blooms, and have been a symbol of hope since World War Two.
